Whirlwind Weekend

The kids had a "fall break" beginning last Thursday. I took them to Ada and the kids did a craft project at my favorite place there, Scraptopia. On Friday K had Band/Color Guard rehearsal in the afternoon. We all slept in that morning. I tried to work on some family history that day, but got conned into playing barbie dolls and baby dolls with my youngest. :) We then attended the HS football game to see them win their 6th game in a row! We are undefeated!

Saturday we woke up extra early and headed to one of my MOST favorite places ever, the Temple. We drove to the Dallas Temple, where DH & I were married. It is so peaceful and the Spirit is so strong. The girls came with us along with a friend of K's. (J stayed with a friend all day) They watched my 6 year old in the lobby and had a picnic on the beautiful Temple grounds while we were in the worship service. The girls wanted to know where DH had proposed to me. It was on the Temple grounds on a bench. We took them to the exact bench and took a few pictures (see above). Afterwards, we ate at our favorite restaurant Chipotle, shopped at our Church's bookstore and made a 'quick' stop at the outlet mall in Allen. It was a full day with lots of driving.

A began to have fever Saturday night, so she stayed home Sunday with K while DH & I taught classes at church. Gratefully, I was able to get a nap in & work on some more family history. It is family history month, ya know.
Life is good,
Shan
